YES! Knights are supposed to be dignfied worriors - or is that just me? I mean, come on, a knight with her chest and thighs uncovered, how easy is she to kill? Makes me wonder what drawing them is really about...
It's most about practicality and it looking stupid, for me.
Your center-body-mass is the last place that should lose protection, not the first. That's why modern armor is basically a vest that covers the front and back of the torso, but leaves the legs and arms free to move.
Fantasy-babe armor tends to be the opposite, leaving the torso totally exposed and weighing down the limbs with armor. I know it's really all about them looking sexy, but if that's the case... just don't give them armor at all.
It's always a wonderful and, sadly, rare treat to see a female warrior whose armor (if she has any) doesn't have what I like to call *pockets* for her breasts.
"Well, she needs room for those!" they argue.
Yes, a little extra, maybe, but it's the under-armor (I forget what the leathery stuff that prevents chafing is called) which needs that sort of attention. The shapely exterior that they give the armor would crack her sternum if she fell forward.
It is rare to see female chest plates that don't have "boob space". I don't even know what to call it, its like most artists think breasts are not squishy and they need their own... protrusions. Good job on knowing how boobs really work!
